Dr. Mark Clinger serves as our Hospice Medical Director. He attends our Inter Disciplinary Team meetings, he oversees the plan of care for each of our patients, prescribes medications and treatments for the alleviation of pain and manages symptoms of our patients. He visits our hospice patients frequently and consults with our patients’ physicians. He can also assume care of any patient wishing for our medical director to follow their care. He performs Face to Face visits with our patients wherever they are located. Dr. Clinger is an Idaho Native, raised in Eastern Idaho. He attended college at Brigham Young University, then Medical School as an Air Force officer at USUHS (Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences) in Maryland. Dr Clinger and his family moved back home to Idaho 10 years ago after the Air Force.They have 4 children and love the outdoors/ATVs/Fishing/Camping and family time.

Our CEO and Owner Cody Freston has over 14 years of Hospice Experience. Cody graduated from the University of Utah. He holds an MBA with an emphasis in Healthcare Leadership. He is active in our community, is the publisher of the Seniors Blue Book of Idaho, and serves as Board Chair of the Alzheimer’s Association Greater Idaho Chapter. He is also the Membership Chair for HAPPEN.

Dr. Ann Agnew serves as our Associate Medical Director, Ann Agnew has more than twenty five years experience in Internal Medicine. She has worked in hospitals as well as outpatient settings. She attended a six year combined undergraduate and Medical School at The University of Missouri Kansas City. She completed her MD in 1989. She returned to her hometown of St Louis Missouri to complete her three years of internal medicine residency at Washington University Barnes Jewish Hospital. She worked in St Louis for twelve years before moving to Boise Idaho. She worked at an outpatient clinic before becoming a Hospitalist at Saint Alphonsus in 2007. She has worked as an independent contractor since 2013. In her free time she loves to read and hike and travel, She also peforms our Face to Face visits, and is able to do house calls.

Co-certifies prognosis, works with team in developing a plan of care, provides consultation to other physicians regarding hospice care.
Assesses patient’s physical needs, develops and coordinates the plan of care, ensures symptom
control and management, provides patient/famiy teaching as needed.
Assesses patient’s and family’s emotional and social needs, develops a plan of care, provides counseling, referrals, and support to meet indentified needs.
Assesses patient’s and family’s spiritual needs, develops a plan of care, provides counseling, assists with memorial preparations.
Home Health Aide:
Provides direct personal care to patient,
emotional support to patient and family, reports identified needs to R.N. Case Manager.
Provides respite and needed non-medical services for patients and their families, offers support for patients and their families, offers support at time of death and during bereavement.
Offers grief and bereavement counseling through individual and group programs pior to and after patient’s death, maintains regular contact with the family for up to thirteen months after death of the patient.
